Milparanga: Mentoring Program

Description

The Milparanga: Mentoring Program will launch on the 8th of August with a two hour session delivered via Zoom. The initial session will be followed by 4 x 2 hour Webinars that will be delivered via Zoom.

  • Webinar 1: 8 August (Program Launch)
  • Webinar 2: 22 August
  • Webinar 3: 5 September
  • Webinar 4: 19 September
  • Webinar 5: 3 October. 

Each Webinar will have a theme and tailored content with participant workbooks. There will be Mentor and Mentee check in's as well as a facilitator check in at the mid point and completion of the program.

Signing up to the Milparanga: Mentoring Program means that you understand the contract and will participate in all webinars, mentor/mentee check in's and facilitator check in's (dates above).

Mentors will indicate their areas of expertise and what they would like to take away from the program. Mentees will indicate areas for personal growth and certain skill sets they might like to learn and what take away they want from attending.

This is a two way sharing of knowledge, culture and experience and we expect that some nice relationships will be formed through this process.

Noting that the Mentors will not all be Indigenous.

The pairing process will look at what has been provided by the applicants and will be matched accordingly by strengths etc.


To be eligible for this program:

  • Mentor: you must be an alumni of an ARLF Program
  • Mentee: you must be an alumni of a Milparanga program
